HELLO 2017- “I Am Ready For You”

Happy New Year World!

A New Year for me is a chance to make my life better for the next 365 days or 52 weeks. It offers fresh hopes to pursue my dreams and goals. This is why at the end of the year, I opted to be quiet and made a personal review of what “has been” in 2016.

2016 was a good year for me.

I had moments of struggles as a single mother sending my precious son to college but managed to pass them all.  Thanks to special angels in my life-my parents and sisters who supported my efforts to continue making this priority-goal going well as well as my lady bosses Nizza and Judith who gave me opportunity to earn while pursuing my writing passion. Of course, everything comes from the GOD who showered me with great personal favors. My prayers were all answered – according to HIS will. HE even gave me bonus – a special “amore” somewhere in the soil of Italy.

I also started blogging. I was hesitant before because I might reveal my personal feelings here which I did in my personal journals (have lots of them!) but then I learned to detach a little while revealing more of my personal journeys without too much drama hahaha! Now, I am enjoying it- the composition part, the interaction and exchange of comments with other bloggers and yes, the learning that I got from all the seasoned writers/bloggers out there.

There were opportunities to go back to media mainstream but I guess, last year was not the perfect timing to go back to radio broadcast or start a special “magazine” project with friends. I also believe that when it is meant to happen- it flows naturally and smoothly.

So, 2017 is a year of blossoming for me. A year of shedding off pounds (LOL), fears, doubts and negativity. I did not make resolutions for this year. I am not good in keeping them anyway. I am planning my 52 weeks personal-professional journey. I am planning my 365 days of “everything”. I have lots of “special” projects in my hands which I started in 2016. I know there will be lots of “new” things and situations that will come this 2017. I know at this point of my life-I can say positively say “I Am Ready!”

MAN & THE SPIRIT GUIDES (Part 2 Spirit World)

We learned in the first part of this series that spirit guides are sacred spirits (Archangels). We, humans are originally angels. The forces of darkness are demons.

The second part of this series focuses on the roles of spirit guides and how they help angels fulfill their spiritual contract of incarnation in the physical world. When angels incarnate, their mind becomes blank and empty. They are born as infants without any memory of their past existence. They become vulnerable to influences and temptations. This is the reason why they are given spirit guides. Each of them has assigned spirit guide.

The forces of darkness (demons) know where the angels are in this world. They are in constant quest to prevent humans from seeking spiritual enlightenment. They use the power of media and often dwell in religion, culture, commerce and politics. They manipulate people by stimulating ego, pride, envy and other deep-seated emotions. They are masters of deception and know how to trick or lure people into their web of evil ways.

Spirit guides keep these angels on the right path so they can fulfill their specific divine mission on earth. They are the unseen guardians which keep humans from succumbing to the lure of demons. It is believed that every person will have 4-7 spirit guides during his lifetime. One of them is the primary guide (guardian angel). Others come later as they pass through childhood and teenage life.

Spirit guides have specific assignments to help you during difficult times. They protect you from harm and help you cope up with life. They will nudge you towards your life purpose and will whisper when you are not consistent in your efforts to follow your calling.  They will gently guide you with intuitive messages that you sometimes ignore as unimportant. Spirit guides will bring helpful people and resources. When you have problems they will lead you to proper solutions.

Spirit guides want people to be spiritually-attuned and divine to invoke the great favors of God. They want human hearts to have love and humility. These emotions allow them to lift the veil of deception and make humans see the truth of any situation.

Your spirit guide is with you 24 hours a day until death. The knowledge that you are never alone is a relief and a revelation of the mystery of life. Your master guide stays with you always while others come and go depending on the goals you need to pursue. They are energies and come you need help. They connect with your own energy and assist you. They see everything that you are going through and when they see you struggling, they act and guide you by doing the following:

  • Spirit guides send you signs – They make delays so you avoid accidents. They send people to warn you of potential harm. They arrange synchronized events and lead you to the right direction.

  • Spirit guides empower your gut – They send strong and sudden mental message. The message is always accompanied with strong feelings. If you feel confused with overwhelming feeling, relax for a while and analyze the situation before making a decision.

  • Spirit Guides provide insights or flashes – Your spirit guides can send you visual flashes or vivid mental images. It usually happens during near-death experiences or crucial moments. Better check all facts and details before going through your travel or decision-making to avoid errors.

  • Spirit guides put significant people in your path– Do you wonder why all of a sudden you meet a long-lost friend or someone from the past comes back in your life? Usually the encounter happens after you think about the person. It is your spirit guide’s way to redirect you into your life purpose. Your guardian angel set the meeting to help you remember your mission on earth. This person is connected to your purpose or the one who is vital to becoming who you need to be.

  • Spirit guides arrange things –You have your own free will and your spirit guides respect them. But when they need to call your attention, they will arrange series of motion to lead you to the direction they want you to be. If you do not understand the clues, they will do more things that usually make you restless. The best option to do is to surrender and allow things to happen naturally.

  • Spirit guides give comfort and assurance – When everything is in chaos, they can make you feel safe and warm. They can bring creative suggestions and sudden spark of inspirations. They do it through books, shows or situations that give you insights to resolve your personal dilemma.

  • Spirit guides enhance your being- They can help you develop your inherent spiritual, psychic and healing abilities. They will help you develop your higher consciousness and get you closer to God.

  • Spirit guides protect you at all times – Your guardian angel (main spirit guide) comes with you when you were born and left with you when you die.

Cultivate a closer relationship with your spirit guide and you’ve got another loyal, helpful best friend for life!

NEXT: How To Connect With Your Spirit Guides

The Spirit World

The spirit world is the home of souls, spirits or supernatural entities. It is believed that during solstice, the physical and spirit world are very near to each other. It is the time when humans can go to spirit world and entities can manifest themselves in our world. Man can also communicate to their departed loved ones through a medium who has the ability to call spirits in the other realm during this period.

The spirit world is also called heaven. It a beautiful, peaceful dwelling place for enlightened spirits. It a mystical dimension where the cycle of beginning and ending is in constant motion. In spirit world, everything is timeless.

The spirit world was created a long time ago, billions of years before humans were created by God. Every person on earth was once a formless spirit in the spirit world. It is believed that when the spirit is ready to undergo a human cycle, it is given a unique life path based on its karma.  The Law of Karma decides what kind of life the spirit will have.  When spirit begins life on earth, he undergoes a normal human cycle. The memory of his former dwelling fades. A new pattern of thoughts is formed as he grows old.

There are billions of spirits which are sent to the world to live. Jesus was the only spirit-person who was created to dwell among men and save good people from sins. He was anointed as King and Son of God. Jesus lived on earth with divine mission to spread the love of God. HE suffered for the salvation of souls.

There are two zones in the spirit world – light and darkness. They are both energy.

The light is love.

The darkness is selfishness, wickedness and ego.

To save spirits from demotion and engulfed by darkness, God created human forms to become the reservoirs of spirits. Spirits who gain good karma after several lives become enlightened souls. And when they die as enlightened persons, their spirits become sacred and cannot be corrupted by darkness.

The spirit world has 3 major formless entities:

  • Angels – They are the original spirits who choose to enter human bodies to avoid darkness. They are allowed to transform into sacred spirits after physical sufferings. When they become humans, their inner spirits or souls are safe from darkness. However, they can be tempted by selfishness and arrogance acts that they may manifest on earth.

  • Sacred Spirits – They are the archangels. They die as enlightened souls. They are also known as holy spirits, guardian angels or spirit guides. They are guardians of spirits who become humans.

  • Demons – They are the lower entities that darkness has corrupted from the group of original spirits.

Next: Meeting Your Spirit Guides (Part 2 of Spirit World series)

Remember the famous statement of Napoleon Hill, “What mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.” This is the power of mind. When we believe, we command the mysterious energies around us to manifest our desires. Our thoughts influence our actions and emotions.

Be like a child who expects with great anticipation whenever he asks something from his parents. He is excited to receive what he desires. Believe that what you wish will come in exact packaging that you want. Adopt an unshakeable faith. Believe without a doubt. Have a big faith. Faith creates miracles.

Be part of the process. Do your part and work for its manifestation. When you believe and you act on it, your desire manifests faster. When you do, the Universe supplies what you need through people and circumstances. This is how God answers your prayer. HE uses vessels to assist you in your endeavors. The favors, the graces and blessings easily flow into your life.

Everything happens in God’s time. There is no shortcut. HE knows when you need them. This is how the Universe works. There are natural and universal laws that process everything that you send out. The manifestations of your desires will happen according to God’s will. When it is time for its manifestation, no one and nothing can stop it to happen.

When In Manila: My Intramuros Adventure (Part II)

Hello World! Welcome to the second part of my adventure in Intramuros. I am going to take you inside the walls of Fort Santiago where much history happened during Spanish regime.

Fort Santiago (Moog ng Santiago or Fuerte de Santiago) was built by Spanish conquistador Miguel Lopez de Legaspi and became the premiere defense citadel of Spanish rulers in the country. It measures 620 meters (2,030 feet) in perimeter. Its high walls are about 22 feet (6.7 meters) tall and 8 feet (2.4 meters) thick.  These walls were the silent witnesses of tortures and prisoners’ deaths in the dungeons.

At present, Fort Santiago, Rizal Shrine, Plaza De Armas, Rajah Sulayman Theater, the prison dungeons, bastions and ruins are part of the historical park which also includes Plaza Moriones.

The first thing I noticed was the set of footprints. They represent the National Hero Dr. Jose P. Rizal’s last walk before his execution in Luneta.

I couldn’t help but shivered when I thought of Rizal’s final walk towards his death after fighting for our country through his writings and ideals. I wonder what was in his mind during that “significant” moment. Did he regret the path he choose or at near-death his heart was overwhelmed with hope to see his motherland free from conquistadors? He knew he wouldn’t see the day of liberation.

So, first stop was Rizal’s Museum and Shrine within the Plaza de Armas.

Inside the museum, clothes and hats of Dr. Rizal were displayed. In one room, a replica of him was seated in a chair. It was the same room where he stayed while imprisoned and wrote his last poem “Mi Ultimo Adios” (My Last Farewell).  There was also a big portrait depicting his execution at Bagumbayan (Luneta). Reminder: Inside this room, camera flashes are not allowed.

There were many memorabilia inside Rizal Shrine. There are rooms where replicas of him were shown during his trial, his medical instruments, paintings, writings and works. You can also have pose for a souvenir photo with local heroes as background and  wearing coat or hat.

If you are done, you could go outside the “balkonahe” for some fresh air. Hmmm, was Dr. Rizal allowed to come here?

Then we went to adjacent pathway which led us to the dungeons and cells.

The lower area where the buildings of Binondo area can be seen became a place to rest, to pose and to peek in the underground dungeons.

My tour in Fort Santiago won’t be complete if I wouldn’t walk through the tunnel which is known as “Baluartillo De San Francisco Javier” . It was added during the fort’s renovation in 1773 to protect the area along riverside and seashore.

It was time for a short rest and had some fun outside.

It was a tiring but educational, entertaining and fun adventure. Try to visit it and enjoy the historical places in this Walled City of Manila.

When In Manila: My Intramuros Adventure (Part I)

Hello World! My Travel Tales Series continues and this time, let me take you to “The Walled City” (Ciudad Murada) of Manila which is popularly known as Intramuros. It is the oldest and the most historic part of the city because it was used during 16th century as seat of Spanish Government.

It was guarded by Fort Santiago which served as fortress situated along Pasig River mouth. During Second World War, the walled city was heavily damaged. In 1951, the place was declared as National Historical Monument and managed  by Intramuros Administration.

This old city part of Manila showcased the Spanish-influenced architectures like the Palacio Del Gobernador which was the official residence of Spanish Viceroys (now it houses Commission on Election).

This newly-renovated Ayuntamiento de Manila or Casa Consistoriales is the present Bureau of Treasury.

The seat of Roman Catholicism in the Philippines is the Manila Cathedral.

In front of the Cathedral is the Plaza de Roma. It was formerly known as Plaza Mayor and Plaza McKinley. The statue of King Carlos IV is prominently displayed in the center of the park.

San Agustin Church was considered the oldest church. It was built in 1607 and can be found inside the walled city. It is located in General Luna Street (formerly known as Calle Real del Palacio). In 1993, this church became one of UNESCOS’s World Heritage “Baroque Churches of the Philippines.” It was also named as National Historical Landmark in 1976 by the Philippine government.

There was a wedding when we went there so we just prayed briefly and wished to visit the church again. We walked back and enjoyed looking at the structures along the street. It was like being transported in another era with some “guardia sibil” outside the Spanish houses now used as offices and cafes along the road.

Of course, the adventure was not complete if I would not visit “Fort Santiago”.  Fort Santiago has become a popular tourists destination. You need to buy tickets to enjoy tour inside. You have the option to walk or take a calesa ride. There are many calesas for rent inside. We opted to walk.

I will be taking you inside Fort Santiago in my “Intramuros Adventure” Part 2.  There were lots of historical sights there that I would love to share.

And to top it all, we met apl.de.ap of Black Eyed Peas!

When In Quezon Province: My “KAMAY NI HESUS” Experience

Hello World! Let me take you to one of the sacred and pilgrimage sites in the Philippines- “KAMAY NI HESUS” in Lucban, Quezon. In February 2002, this shrine was established by the Healing Priest Rev. Fr. Joseph “Joey” Ayala Faller.

Father Joey is known for his “healing touch”. An accident which almost caused his life and injured his right hand permanently finally made him accept his healing vocation. The small finger and index finger bones of his hand broke and couldn’t be straightened despite attempts of surgical operations. It resembled the hands of Risen Christ and of “El Senor Sto Nino” (Little Jesus). For Fr. Joey, it has become a living reminder that God wants him to continue his mission on healing. It inspired him to build a pilgrimage site to welcome people who need God’s healing miracles- “KAMAY NI HESUS.”

From my hometown Labo, Camarines Norte, we arrived early so we still have time to drink hot coffee.

I was excited and immediately captured some photos. Finally, I was there and longed to attend the healing mass officiated by Fr. Joey. According to schedule, he was the one who would do the mass. Yay!

People gathered outside the gates from different parts of the country. The place has become an all-year round favorite destination of praying and healing.

When it finally opened, the first sight you would see is the “HOLY FAMILY PARK.”

I couldn’t help but pose and be delighted with the beautiful relaxing sights in this part of this sacred ground.

Located at the farther part of the park is the “LUKLUKAN NI MARIA.”

There are many life-sized statues depicting the Life, Works and Passion of Jesus Christ.

From where I was, I can see the 50-ft. tall image of Jesus Christ at VIA DOLOROSA GROTTO. Currently, it is the 3rd world’s Risen Christ statue. I would challenge myself to reach it later.

But for now, let me pose for a while as I prepared myself for other sights before climbing and pray there.

And let me make a wish first! Piso please….!!! (I wish I will…….I wish I may…I wish I can….). I threw a lot of course!!!!! You can enjoy watching “kois” and other fishes.

Now, let me take you to the SEA OF GALILEE. It was fun. Well, you could tell with my numerous photos anyway. So, fun that I forgot to take a photo of the actual area haha and just enjoyed posing around.

Now, time for the NOAH’s ARK! It was a sight to behold, seeing a replica of the ark of Noah and imagining pairs of animals going inside as related in the Holy Bible.

NOAH’s ARK is the site’s area for retreats, seminars and recollections. It has complete amenities for accommodation, refectory and conferences.

Hey, there was also a GARDEN OF EDEN. Checking out if Adam and Eve were there now!!!! I hope, I won’t see the serpent with the “forbidden” apple.

There is a prayer room for those who want to contemplate.

Now, this was the most exciting part of our visit- conquering the 350-steps to reach the top and touch the foot of the statue. There was a belief that you can “pour” your heart content and pray for whatever you want to be granted while touching it with your hand.

The view at the top too was truly amazing. I saw the spectacular view of the town up there. I felt the gentle, cool breeze. I experienced something “divine” up there. It was a personal “sensation” that made me felt blessed and thankful- not just for this experience but for my “continuing journey” in life.kamay-23

And the highlight of this visit was attending the Holy Mass. The church was full of people from all walks of life. Those who want healing were separated by categories of “illness or condition.” I chose “general healing.”

It was my second time to see Fr. Joey. The first time was when he conducted healing mass in Holy Trinity Cathedral in Daet, Camarines Note. He has an “aura” of mysticism which will draw you to his circle of believer. He said, “The great healer is Jesus, I am just an instrument.”

During the mass, the voice of Fr. Faller seemed to soothe my soul. A gentle wind cools the church and made me a little sleepy though. Well, of course I didn’t. He proceeded with the healing mass and went around the church proclaiming and claiming the mercy of God to heal us all. Everyone was silent and with eyes closed, his voice was the only sound you would hear. It was indeed a touching moment. When I opened my eyes, I saw many were silently crying. It was a releasing moment, as if the emotional burdens were wiped out or become light of all a sudden. I guess, every person there experience something- a change, a healing, a restoration, a deliverance.

During the healing part of the mass

After the mass, Fr. Joey conducted blessing of rosaries and other objects

I always consider every travel opportunity as a gift of experience. This one was meaningful and I would always love to be back here and whisper my prayers for my loved ones and for myself.

Create Your Own Happiness

I believe that happiness is a personal choice so I always choose to be happy instead of being grumpy. Of course, not all days are easy and stress-free but I learn not to allow negativity affects my entire being. I learn to smile through pains, laugh my stress away and create my own happiness.

Creating happiness is not magic. It starts by being responsible for your own happiness and working to attain it. Imagine yourself as the author of your own life story. How would you like your story to unfold or to end? I guess, you want a wonderful, fun and meaningful life story. Everyone does.

Simple secrets to create your own happiness:

Accepting who you are, your imperfections, your strengths, your mistakes and achievements is the key to happiness. Understanding yourself brings awareness of what you want, what you have and what you can share. Happiness is not only about receiving, it’s also about giving.

You have a string of achievements. Celebrate your victory- minor and major. List them down. Make a journal or album of success. Display your accomplishments in one part of your goal. Create a blog.

Display your favorite happy quote, photo or any object that makes you smile in your workplace. Hang pictures of place you want to visit. Wear your lucky charms. Place motivating books beside you where you can draw instant boost of inspiration when you need it.

Rediscover your long-lost passion. Look back and find out what makes you happy in the past. Is it writing, painting or teaching? Your childhood dreams usually are bridges to your life’s purpose. Seek and discover it again.

Get out of your comfort zone. Success happens outside your comfortable haven. Experience new things, meet new people, create new goals and enjoy the challenge of the unknown. Overcome your fears and embrace life with confidence.

Life is beautiful. Enjoying it every day does not require a lot of efforts. You can do your usual routine, incorporate something new and modify your method as you pursue your goals. Live one day at a time purposely. Live mindfully. Give your best shot every day. Create an impact. Do things that make you happy. If you fail, don’t fret, there is always tomorrow to make amends. If you are afraid, pray and have faith.

  • LOVE

Happiness comes from love. Nurture your loving spirit. Demonstrate your love. Love yourself. Love others. Love your work. Be the vessel of love.

So, get your pen and start creating new happy chapters in your life. One day at a time…..
